New rig… who dis?!

So here’s the deal. We already know I’m bad at consistent blogging. And it sounds silly to say it, or write it in this case, but blogging is harder than one would think. The challenge with blogging is being vulnerable while trying to put life into legible witty words.

Pretty epic Aurora shows this winter.

Mostly for me its the time. I hardly have enough time to get my absolutely required responsibility stuff done… like my full time plus plus job that pays the bills (🙄 < cough-lame-cough >). Add on what feels like a full time job of Booster Club membership (🤦🏼‍♀️ yes we both have been actively sucked in to the volunteer vortex). This creates the need to get out and camp/adventure to shake off all the crap from the aforementioned responsibilities as much as possible.

Booster Duty… Sidelines on a windy Soldotna day.
Sometimes the view makes the work less painful.

A lot has changed since the last time I wrote… we made it through that winter, we lost Ramsey, moved houses, went from a bumper pull to a 5th wheel trailer, an Alaskan summer, a major surgery, a whole other winter (less cold but much more snow), found a home for MoFo, and a trip to Oregon and back in the truck which leads us to our current situation: New Rig, who Dis?!

It’s funny, not like ha ha funny, but more like strange peculiar funny how life happens; not how we want it to, but how it’s supposed to… so here we are. We’ve completely re-evaluated our plan. We sold the 5th wheel, signed our lease for 13 more months, and bought into the next phase in our five year plan.

Meet Coddiwomple. Or Sherlock the 2022 Nu-Camp Cirrus 820 placed happily on Bruce (Dr Watson) a ruby red F-250 super duty. Naming is very important but we haven’t stuck with one yet. But we are in love. This camper is just the right everything. Looking forward to the next adventures.

And in the interest of the blog namesake, here’s just some wholesome Butthole Kitty content.

Thank you for reading. If you don’t already do so, I’m much more of a regular poster on our socials so be sure to check us out there!
